The mayor emphasized the city's commitment to maintaining social peace, upholding freedom of expression, and effectively managing public gatherings, relying on the professionalism of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by Arab-Muslim communities, Mayor Plante highlighted the importance of partnerships with organizations like the Canadian Muslim Forum in fostering constructive dialogue.
