On the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, on November 2, 2026 the “Canada Coordinating Council for Palestine” (CC4P) will hold a discussion forum on the first Sunday of the month, titled “Palestine One Hundred Years After the Balfour Declaration.” The forum will feature Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia for the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, and will take place at Centre St-Pierre in Montreal at 1 p.m.

The event will include an address by Bishop Atallah Hanna, followed by an open discussion with attendees on issues related to Palestine.

Registration will begin at noon. The forum will officially open at 1 p.m. with welcoming remarks, followed by the bishop’s address from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. Attendees will then have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments, followed by a general discussion. The event is scheduled to conclude at 4 p.m.

The forum will be held under the subtitle “Condemning the Terrorist Attack on Unarmed Civilians in Jordan,” following the armed attack on St. George Greek Orthodox Church in the village of Hamoud, in Jordan’s Karak Governorate, on October 23. The attack killed nine people and injured 34 others, according to published reports.
