Your unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and international law has brought renewed clarity and integrity to the role of the UN Special Rapporteur. Through your meticulous documentation and fearless reporting, you have helped shatter the wall of silence that has long surrounded the systematic crimes of apartheid, occupation, and—most urgently—genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.

We especially commend your recent report, which, grounded in international legal standards and indisputable evidence, rightfully characterizes the Israeli military campaign in Gaza as a “genocide in progress.” This historic assessment has elevated global awareness and laid the groundwork for future accountability—despite fierce attempts by powerful interests to suppress or distort the truth.

The backlash you now face is not merely a reaction to your words—it is a desperate attempt to maintain a decaying system of impunity. The attacks against you aim not only to discredit your mandate but to silence the voices of millions demanding justice for Palestine. We reject these attacks with the strongest moral and political resolve.
